January 31 - Tim's blog

We woke up very early and were on the beach swimming by 6:30 am. The water is very , very warm. The beach goes on for around 6 kilometers an d there is nobody on the beach. We did a lot of swimming today and tried out bogie boarding for the first time. Rosie and I caught some great waves this afternoon.

We saw our first big lizard today, not to sure if it was an iguana or what type of lizard. He was under the tin on a roof. I also walked down the beach to see what some vulture were feeding on and from what I could see it looked like the remains of a dog . It is very warm here, our neighbors said it was between 90 and 95 yesterday. Today the sand on the beach not hit by the waves would burn the bottom of your feet.

Another of our neighbors caught a nice fish this morning. I brought my fishing rod and will try maybe tomorrow fishing from shore. He caught his fish out in a boat with live bait so I am not sure if my lures will do the job.

My suitcase arrived today but poor Rosie still has no clothes besides the ones we brought when we left San Jose for the flight to Golfito. I hope her luggage arrives tomorrow.
