My theme for today’s report is critters -- how plenty and diversified they are, not to mention their huge size! So instead of words, let me show you some interesting pictures….a female spider in the jungle of Osa Peninsula, a green grasshopper measuring 5-6 inches came to visit us
during dinner on Monday night, a 2.5
inch cucuracha (that’s right, a cockroach) that popped up, countless hermit crabs, etc. I don’t have photos yet of the
beautiful blue butterflies that flutter around endlessly, the bizarre dragonfly that gives the illusion of floating inside an fluorescent square, gigantic hornets….but I’m working on that.Today, we hung around the house, went to visit Susan and looked at her beautiful waterpaints, had lunch at the Sol Y Mar, and of course, snoozed on the hammock (fixed!) in the afternoon.

Zzzzzzzz - fell asleep early

(Rosalyne has discovered photography today, and she spent much of the afternoon taking shots of interesting angles of our surroundings as well as of her dad on the beach -- unbeknownst to him. Enjoy."Washed ashore coconut in heat" and "Washed ashore father in heat"

I had forgotten how fast the sun sets when you are in the tropics. You can literally watch it go down, within 20 seconds or so. We must try to catch a sunset on video if we can. WE have a very nice sunset over the Osa peninsula that you can watch from the kitchen window but is better viewed from the beach.
The waves are much smaller as we get to the new moon ( the moon half way between 2 full moons ) therefore we have not done any booggie boarding lately. There seems to be a lot less people in town now that the big concert is over, Sylvain, our neighbour also says that there will be more bugs at the new moon.
We had a quick 10 minute rain shower during dinner but the roads were not even wet when we went our for dessert later.

Sure look slike you are having a good time with lots of crawly friends around! We have been hit with our first "snowstorm" but Ottawa was lucky with only a few centimeters of snow while areas around Buffalo have had 10 feet of snow in the last week. We are going skiing in Jay, Vermont from March 5-8 so hopefully they will have lots of snow to ski on!Got an email from Brian and kate and it is around mid 70's in Tuscon and they are doing lots of hiking.
Bye for now
